i deleted the document file in drive c and the app data by mistake, Im sure the syn was on for more than i can remember and even a few days ago i did the syn again, after the reboot i signed in and did the syn ,there was nothing at all please help me

Hi there, My laptop undertook an update for Firefox and I have just discovered that all of my bookmarks have disappeared and I cannot find anyway to restore these. My laptop cannot access any profile, I have followed advice in other posts, but I cannot find access to this data. I have lost all my Masters Degree bookmarks and my BSc, which I need access to asap to continue. Can you please advise on how I can get these back?

I have checked my mobile Firefox and it still has access to these bookmarks but there is no way for me to export these files out of my mobile. I am worried about undertaking a sync (although it says it has) in case it deletes all of these bookmarks.

Hey I changed my password before reinstalling the Windows but when I reinstall Firefox and logged in, all of my information was gone since Firefox doesn't back up after password change so I uninstalled Firefox since then because it was useless to me. I was looking through my files and I find that I still have the previous recovery code before changing password, can it be used to recover my passwords and bookmarks?!

So I reformatted my hard drive and everytime I finish I reinstall Firefox. I have an account where I log in and it put me back where I left off with all my past bookmarks that I saved. Ive been doing this for 10 years but today not sure whats going on but when I logged if all my stuff has disappeared. Please help or contact Mozilla regarding this. I cant understand why one cant directly speak to the ones who developed this browser. Quite frustrating

Sync has been mostly usable the past 2 yrs and now all my data is randomly gone. I had a android and desktop syncing and nothing else. Are there backups or previous versions of saved data? This right here is what I feared for so many years.... Where's my data? Don't send me generic answers. Is there a backup on a server or not? If so give it up

Randomly deleted everything. No new device added, no password change (wish is ridiculous y'all aren't sharp enough to create an encryption mechanism that doesn't delete on pass change), no device removed. Years of 1 desktop and 1 Android. How do I get it back from the servers? I don't care if it's encrypted. I just lost 10 yrs of bookmarks. Don't send me fluff or bs answers that tech noobs accept

I believe I had all this synced in Firefox Settings before I made the upgrade. Like all you fellow former users of Windows 10, I had to upgrade to Windows 11; and did so two days ago. Now, I found that I do not have under History any of the former sites I not only visited but also had tabs open. What can I do, if anything, to recover them? Under the Add-ons Manager, if this helps, I already had the app Tab Session Manager, but don't know how to use it. Thanks to all in advance who may have made this same upgrade. Many out there are still on Windows 10.

I was using my account for sync my bookmarks, but i hope that was saved in my phone. After check CCleaner deleted all from my laptop, i realize that was also deleted from my mobile. ¿How i can recover all my bookmarks that was sync in my account?

Somehow an entire folder with dozens of bookmarks was deleted from my Windows 11 PC. The missing bookmark folder still exists on my iPhone. How can I restore the missing folder from my iPhone to my Windows PC? I am afraid if I just sync the two it might delete from my iphone the bookmark folder I want to replace onto my PC. What is the correct procedure to get the missing folder restored from my iphone onto my PC? Thank you in advance for your time and help. Dave_E

I got a new computer. The old computer is inaccessible. When I downloaded Firefox on the new computer, I could not remember my password and had to reset it. Now all of my synced data is lost. Is there ANY way I can get this information back? I absolutely need the bookmarks on my account to be able to pay bills, and i had no idea changing my password would cause the synced to be lost.

I have a rather strange problem and I'm not sure this is the right topic. I generally use my computer on and off all day and I never lock it until the evening when I turn it off. I went out for several hours today and when I came back there was a new version of Firefox installed. When I opened Firefox I realized it was a new version because it would not let me logon until I had completed a profile. My old version never did this. In addition all of my saved passwords had disappeared as well as my bookmarks. I'm using a Dell laptop running Win 11, about 2 years old. I don't understand how this could happen. There was no one here while I was out. I looked to see if there was a saved profile but only the one in use showed up. The current version appears to be 145.0.1. One thing that might have something to do with it. I might have been asked yesterday if I wanted to synch firefox on my computers but I'm not sure how I answered this (I'm almost 90 and my memory is a bit imperfect).

I do have Firefox on a second desktop which is running Win 10. Is it possible to use that profile. That computer has not been turned on since this happebd and is currently asleep. Any help or suggestions will really be appreciated!

I reinstall my pc and wanted to resync firefox, but wrote password wrong few times and went with suggestion to reset it through the mail, but my histroy and bookmarks not there? Is there possiblity to recover if I know my old password???

All my firefox bookmarks disappeared on my desktop even tho' logged. Still on phone and laptop. How do I sync so I get them back and not erase the two mobile devices?

I have rebooted my computer and when Firefox is restarted all the bookmarks in the bookmark toolbar are gone. I have Firefox set to sync these bookmarks on all devices and am concerned if I just initiate a new sync then the bookmarks will be deleted from all other devices instead of reloading them all from the Mozilla server. How can I force a reload of all sync'd bookmarks from the Mozilla server to my Firefox on this computer?

I have had a firefox account for the past 1 year I have browsed a lot of sites in that 1 year and had a few bookmarks too. I used to regularly sync the account too. Today after a normal browsing session I closed firefox. After I opened it up again it had automatically signed me out. When I signed back in, I saw that my whole history had been wiped, everything from the past 1 year. Now there is no trace of it. Please tell me what might have happened. Everything is gone. I wanted to open firefox and a new window for new firefox open but did not suggest me to sync my old bookmarks. instead it only asked me if i wanted to sync with chrome browser only. why was i not allowed to save old bookmarks before new firefox updated.

I am writing to urgently request your assistance regarding a critical data loss issue with my Firefox account.

Recently, I reset my Firefox account password because I could not remember the original one. However, I was not informed or clearly notified during the reset process that resetting my password without a recovery key would result in the permanent loss of my synced data, including saved bookmarks, passwords, and other browser data.

Unfortunately, this Firefox account was the only place where I had stored this important information, and I had no separate backup of the data elsewhere. I understand that for security and encryption reasons, data cannot always be recovered—but I believe users should be more explicitly warned during the password reset process.

After changing from windows 10 to Chromebox, I thought I was ready to have Firefox just as it was. I had an account recovery key and expected no problems. When downloading Firefox I wasn't asked for the recovery key only my password. The Firefox page is almost unusable. Please help me to regain what I had before.
