I just tried a manual Addons -> Extensions update and got an update for Adblock Plus. When I checked Recent Updates, The release notes were accessible (see attached).

Maybe the release notes only show up AFTER an update?^{EDIT: I just checked in another profile I had set to manually update addons. The release notes for Adblock Plus could also be viewed before installing the available update.} Honestly, I've never even looked at that option in the Add-ons Manager

You didn't furnish the error message you saw and you didn't include any troubleshooting information showing your installed addons (see Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues for future reference). What you should probably do is visit the webpage for the add-on to see what updates are available.

Yes that's the bug. Been going on for ages and I can't believe no-one else noticed or reported it.

By the way, when searching bugzilla I saw an older bug (Bug 745557) so this isn't the first time the problem was reported and fixed.

With all the extension developers rushing for compatibility with Australis I've already had a dozen or so updates in the last 2 days.

The next time an update is available for one of your extensions, you can post back to confirm that

• A) the problem is actually fixed for you, or
• B) the problem is still unresolved

If your issue is still unresolved, you should supply troubleshooting information (your OS, Firefox version, Extensions, modified proferences, etc.) which you can do by copy/pasting the information from the Firefox Help -> Troubleshooting Information page.
