Hotmail said I should upgrade my browser - I followed inst. & downloaded file but nothing happened
the file I downloaded to upgrade for Hotmail was 20.0 exe. Is there another step to actually install it or is just downloading the file enough (I am new at this)

FF won't ask you with a third party service to upgrade your browser, such as Hotmail saying to upgrade. You can check if you are on the latest version of FF manually but going to
Firefox > Help > About
Alternatively you can also check your downloads by going to
Firefox > Downloads & double clicking again on the file if it shows in your download list.

Download and save the Firefox installer to the desktop and start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon.
