Firefox 6.0.2 works fine, but upon upgrading to Firefox 7 it ceases to start at all giving me the crash reporter. I belive this is a "fresh" vanilla install as the only references to firefox I can find are in the registry which I'm leary about removing. I've removed all references from %APPDATA% and Program Files.

The likely problem is use of certain Oracle etc software, the developer Oracle being aware of the problem and working on a fix. Meanwhile there is a registry hack as a potential workaround, or the simpler workaround of downgrading temporarily to firefox 3.6.23.
