I can no longer select plain paper as a printer option while in Firefox, although it is available from other browsers (Safari, IE) and applications (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.).
The only printer options available under Firefox are for photo-quality paper, and this severely slows printing time. I have an Epson Stylus NX420 series printer. The folks at Epson walked me through several attempts to reinstall the printer driver and reset the print settings, but it did not resolve the problem. I am using an iMac that's running OS X 10.6.8).
