Bookmarks gone after upgrading Adobe flash player 10 on 8 Sept, plus Macfee (since uninstalled). Tried all solutions in your articles, including restore but "Unable to process the backup file". Help!

I downloaded Macafee by mistake with Adobe Flash player 10 on 8 Sept.

Red banner came up when I ran Firefox: "Bookmarks history will not be functional. Some security software...(whatever)". So I uninstalled Macafee. Message kept coming every time I restart Firefox.

Tried creating a new places database - didn't bring back bookmarks.

Tried restoring backup of bookmarks, but "Unable to process the backup file" message comes up on every date. Sadly I have no manual backup elsewhere.
