Firefox 5.0 doesn't support certain plugins and IGoogle tool bar, I reinstalled 4.01.

Firefox 4.01 works great and when I updated to 5.0 it didn't support my Dish network sling adapter plugin and was having problems with IGoogle tool bar. I uninstalled Firefox and re-installed 4.01. If it's going to be a while before 5.0 is the same as 4.01, what can I do to stop Firefox from prompting me to up grade to 5.0. I've already contacted Dish Network and they said Firefox and Internet Explorer where compatible.
