after latest update Firefox claims to be open BUT I can't find the open copy

Today Firefox updated and now I can't open it. When I try I get a message saying only one copy can be opened at a time. Nothing shows up anywhere as being open. I am on an iMac.

Today Firefox updated and now I can't open it. When I try I get a message saying only one copy can be opened at a time. Nothing shows up anywhere as being open.
