Where are my favorites and my extensions? How do I get them back?
Honestly, I don't know that "topic" best describes my situation. I am not a "techy" and should not be required to be a "techy" to be able to use Firefox and have it not create terrible problems for me.
Where did my favorites and extensions and homepage go? I clicked "refresh" since you, Firefox, RECOMMENDED THAT I CLICK "REFRESH," and
EVERYTHING IS GONE.
Where is EVERYTHING? I cannot get it back and do not have anything saved. I trusted you. There is no Firefox folder saved to my desktop. There is NOTHING. I have simply lost about 50 FAVORITES PAGES that I NEEDED.
This is disgusting and a betrayal. Firefox? Never again.

ALL THE FAVORITES that i need for work, for research, for personal use, websites I saved...all gone. All gone. I do not even know what they were at this point, as it took months to find them and noone can remember every website. Government websites.
This is is literal disaster and sabatoge. You can't do this to users. This is sabatoge. It is just like walking into someone's house and stealing all of their paperwork and passwords. I have no way to fix this. I cannot find the extensions, favorites, ANYWHERE. I do not know passwords to accounts. I do not know pages I MUST use for personal and professional use. Everything is GONE.
You cannot expect or require everyone who uses your Firefox product to be a techy. I feel so betrayed at a visceral level. You have royally just screwed me over right now.
Anne, refreshing should have placed a folder named something like 'Old Firefox Data' on the desktop. Did you look for that name specifically? If you can find this folder then you can try the steps here to restore data from it. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
If you cannot find that folder then alternatively you could try the steps in this article to see if your bookmarks etc. can be found in a different profile. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update
