Option is not available in the context menu of the tabs?

Please, check, the preference, browser.tabs.unloadTabInContextMenu.

1 - Go to Configuration Editor for Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-config-editor-firefox 2 - Enter a search term browser.tabs.unloadTabInContextMenu You can double-click on the preference to set the value to true (value by defaut)

The value was already set to true! I've restarted Firefox yet again but the option is still not appearing in the right-click menu.

No I haven't but why on earth would that solve the issue? The only add-ons I have are ancient, have no concept of unloading tabs so how can they override the already-set correct setting whilst keeping it set on? Sorry to appear rude but that sounds like a wild "I have no idea, why not try this" type suggestion!

I noticed the something day 1 with the unload tab option. If the tab is not refreshed, the option is not there, but if I refresh the tab the option is there. see screenshots

I found that Firefox unloads tabs all by itself - in which case the unload option doesn't appear. Edit: most probably Firefox starts with all saved tabs unloaded until you click on them.
