Update: After reading a few other threads related to problems with 141.0, I disabled my Privacy Badger extension and I can get to any website I want. Unfortunately, I now don't have the benefit of Privacy Badger's tracker-blocking!

Hi

What happened when you tried to view a website? Was there any error message?

ďalšie možnosti

Nothing. Blank page as Firefox attempting to load the content -- with the tab header simply doing it's "I'm working on it" thing. Then, after disabling Privacy Badger, force-quitting Firefox and launching it again, everything worked. Bottom line: Privacy Badger is incompatible with release 141.0.

Did it happen every time you started Firefox?

ďalšie možnosti

Well, I spoke too soon when I said the problem was resolved by disabling Privacy Badger. That did in fact work on my iMac, but it didn't work on my laptop. Firefox remains completely useless on the latter -- even after clearing all cookies and caches.

We still think it's addon related (we're actively investigating)./

You might try disabling some other extensions.

ďalšie možnosti

OK, well, not that it makes any sense (to me), but ... I disabled the Cisco Webex extension as well -- which I haven't used in years -- and all my "still working on it" tabs opened!

What add-ons do you have installed in Firefox?

ďalšie možnosti

1Password, Capital One Shopping and HTTPS Everywhere are enabled on both computers.

Cisco WebEx Extension remains enabled on my iMac, but it is now disabled on my laptop.

Privacy Badger has been disabled on both computers. I'd really like to get it back up and running ...

Can you see what happens if you disable 1Password?

ďalšie možnosti

OK, I reenabled Privacy Badger and disabled 1Password on both my iMac running Sequoia 15.5) and laptop (running Ventura 13.7.6). Sites are opening on both computers as expected. Unfortunately, Firefox is completely useless to me without the 1Password extension and "undesirable" without Privacy Badger's functionality. Does Firefox now included equivalent functionality (to Privacy Badger) that I am unaware of?

ďalšie možnosti

1Password has released an update that fixes this. It should be rolling out now.

You can check for updates in the add-ons manager.

Sure enough. Everything is working again on both computers. Any idea what Privacy Badger & 1Password have in common such that disabling either (but not both) would allow Firefox to connect?

We're researching that. We think it was a timing issue related to extension startup.
