Hi, perhaps my problem is not that unusual, but I'm finding it a bit difficult to solve. I have three email accounts on Thunderbird, and all of them have exactly the same specifications. They are all @hotmail.com. They have the same server name (outlook.office365.com), same port number, same connection security, same authentication method (0Auth2) and same Imap default release code. Never had a problem. Then on July 10th just one of them stopped opening and a message window appeared saying that authentication was OK but it wasn't able to connect. The other two continue to open as before. Any idea on how to rectify this, please.

If the error message is "User is authenticated but not connected", then the following links might be helpful:

3.1. To enable POP or IMAP access in outlook.com, you have to use computer, not mobile phone. If you use mobile phone, you will not see "Forwarding and IMAP" after selecting "Settings" > "Mail" in outlook.com.

I have the same issue and allowing IMAP access didn't resolve the issue. I have Thunderbird set up on both desktop and mobile. On mobile, all accounts (3 gmail & 2 outlook) are syncing as expected, but on desktop I am having the same "user is authenticated but not connected" issue as OP.

Any further suggestions to fix?

Thanks in advance!
