For the record, The new profile management system is a work in progress that is enabled for some users as part of an experiment that is being rolled out gradually as mentioned in the [[Manage Firefox profiles]] article. You can check '''about:studies''' to see if the new profile manager is listed. It may not be but if it is you can remove it (see the [[About Studies]] article for details). Setting browser.profiles.enabled to false in about:config doesn't completely disable the new profile system. Some parts of the new system still work and others don't. Setting browser.profiles.enabled to false won't remove "Original profile" in the Title bar or Windows taskbar, even after a restart. However, parts of the new system are disabled, although the settings still appear in the UI.
