New pdf editing
Doesn't work at least not on a mac. I don't show the Itool and nothing else fills in. "pen" doesn't work either.

Can you attach a screenshot?

- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
Don't you have the two edit buttons? See "Annotate PDF files"
Note that you shouldn't confuse the new edit tools and filling a form (Fill out forms in PDF Viewer).
You can check these prefs on the about:config page.
