How to remove uploaded themes from theme page
I was testing out some themes. The Add-ons->Themes page is now cluttered. How do I remove the unwanted themes?

There is only one "cog" wheel on both the Add-On's page and the Theme page. It calls up the same list of options. (I have Firefox 109.0.1 on the Mac platform.)
Goal: Get rid of themes I tried that I no longer want on the Firefox Themes Page.
I don't mind digging around the current Profile, but all that's in the Extensions directory are ordinary add-on files--not theme add-on files . I also went to ~/jeffb/Library/Mozilla/Extensions to see if the files might be there--it's empty.
So, back to my original question/frustration: I need a method to remove the Firefox themes I don't want from Tools->Add-Ons-Themes. Perhaps these files are kept elsewhere in the current profile??? (a path would help)_
Thank you for trying. Hopefully more help is available out there.
Best.
Are the themes not listed there? Are you sure you installed them?
As you can see in the image I attached, the Themes page lists all the Themes I tried out. I can turn theme on and off from the Themes page.
All I want to do is to delete the unused themes. What else do you need to know?
Thank you.
I only have one installed theme. If I click the 3 dots at the right of the theme, I have the option to remove it.
For each theme, can you find the "overflow" menu button (•••):
I think that those themes are stored in extensions.json in the Firefox profile folder alongside other extension data.
The three dots produce a "Manage" button. The "Manage" button produces the image I sent in the .png file, which does not contain a "Remove" option. Sorry.
Can any one simply give me the path to the the THEME .xpi files. BTW, I can find the "regular" Extension files in:
/Users/jeffb/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/79ihbdoq.default-release-1652152629229/extensions
but not the theme .xpi files that I uploaded to Firefox using the the upload file option from the extentions "gear" wheel icon.
If I can remove the THEME .xpi files that correspond to to these Themes, then I think my problem is solved.
Thank you all for your efforts, but the problem is not solved.
The files may no longer be there, but like I wrote above, its extension data is still saved in extensions.json in case you want to (re)load the extension/theme.
If extensions.json is editable, I will remove the entries so I don't have to look at the extensions I don't want to use. What do you suppose went wrong that the THEME extensions still appear on the Themes page?
The other folks that kindly responded to me seemed to have no trouble removing unwanted theme extensions. Why do you suppose I am having that problem?
Again, Thank you all for your responses--I will look at the extensions.json file.
There is a difference between installed and enabled add-ons and saved add-ons. The latter may only apply to themes as for those you only need a manifest file and download an image.
Sorry, the only screenshot I can see that you uploaded shows a gear button menu and 3 of the built-in (non-removable) themes. If you scroll down to the add-on themes and check the ••• button on those, can you see Remove there?
I am having the same problem as Jeffb4. I also installed some themes which turn out to obscure the type in the header bars more than I expected, so I want to delete them, not just disable them. The PROBLEM is that often the "three dots" > manage does NOT include delete as an option...of five murky themes I recently downloaded, FOUR cannot be deleted.
I did a further search and found these links:
http://mzl.la/1xKrBZF https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cannot-remove-add-on-extension-or-theme
HOWEVER, these appear to be unbelievably-complex time-wasters to execute! So now I'm snakebit, and fret about adding another theme because of the clutter they create. And I wasted hours just getting to this stage of finding no satisfactory workaround.
I'd like someone at Mozilla to consider why this has to be such a royal PITA, when it's absurdly easy in Chrome.
And for that matter, why must it be virtually impossible to add a background PICTURE to my FF start page? In Chrome, this is seamlessly done by clicking the pencil icon in the lower right of its existing background, and you're offered a vast list of choices. I personally enjoy the 42 "cityscape" photos, any of which presents a lovely view whenever I launch a new FireFox window. (Having a photo on my "desktop" is irrelevant, since I habitually have so many windows open that I never see it.)

I want to see FireFox be the BEST browser. I don't understand why shortcomings like this exist for no logical reason.

Normally you can remove add-on themes, but not built-in themes:
It should not be possible for an add-on theme to make itself non-removable.

What are the names of the themes? Can you share links to their pages on the Mozilla Add-ons site so someone can check them?

I suggest voting (thumbs up) and optionally commenting in one or both of the following threads on the feedback site, Mozilla Connect:
