Can I have two Firefox windows open when I start firefox with all the tabs I want pre-loaded?
Hi all
I would like some help if possible please. When I start Windows 10 on my laptop and I open Firefox I open two separate windows (personal and professional) and then I open a pre detirmined set of tabs in each window to start my day.
Is there a way I can press open Firefox and I can have 2 windows open with all my pre set tabs?
Is this possible? If not, how close can I come to this?

You probably need to use the --new-tab <url> and --new-window <url> command line parameters to achieve this. See also firefox.exe -h in an CMD.exe window.
You can modify a copy of the Firefox desktop shortcut and add the URLs to the target line (command line) in its Properties. If you exceed the maximum length of the target field then use a CMD (.cmd) file with the start command.
- start "" "<path_to_firefox>\firefox.exe" --new-tab URL1 URL2 --new-window URL3 URL4

Thank you for that. I have read it over and over and I cannot quite get my head around it It is a bit too advanced lol
I am now thinking I can have Firefox open 1 window with all my pre set tabs and then I will move the ones I want over to a new window.
How can I do this? I want Firefox to open with all my pre set tabs open if possible?

I achieve what I think you want by leaving the windows and tabs open when I quit and selecting the setting "Open previous windows and tabs" on the General page of Settings.
How do I make it so that the same tabs open each time I open Firefox? Then I will just split them up.

You can set all these pages as multiple home pages and make sure you aren't restoring the previous session.
Note that pinned tabs aren't included.
