I don't even know how to solve this in about:config
In previous versions, I could open an image within the same tab, now you can only open it in a new tab and if it's on a malware site, tough luck. Also, for one Firefox process there used to be a single window in the taskbar, now it's one for each tab, and that's completely pointless.

You can look for an extension on the Add-ons website.
- View Image Context Menu Item https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/view-image-context-menu-item/
and to sort the processes within a single window?

Normally, Firefox uses one Taskbar button for each window, but there is a way to show one for each tab which might have gotten turned on. You can check that here:
- Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Settings (previously "Options")
- Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
- Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
- Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it
In the Tabs section, which is the second section on the General panel, look for this and if it has a checkmark, uncheck it (or click twice to check and uncheck it):
[_] Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar
Was that it?
