Invalid URL prompt when initializing Firefox
I downloaded an add-on (mountains hd). Now, when I click initial firefox icon (on my desktop) the error prompts Invalid URL. I can select the next tab on that screen, which brings up a Google browser. I deleted the add-on, I think, I can't find it anywhere on my computer. The error still happens, initial load cannot find the browser. Also, the add-on did not have the option of using Firefox as a default browser. There was a prompt that said this was a preferred add-on of Firefox. Maybe I just got duped out of the last four hours of my life.
I only wanted to replace the black or white firefox homescreen with a picture or color that doesn't give me a headache. The provided color-home-page and picture-replace options in firefox do not work, I still can't get rid of the black-or-white screen, grrrrrrrrrr.

You can check the target line in the Firefox desktop shortcut (right-click: Properties) to make sure nothing is appended after the path to the Firefox program.
I don't code anymore so I might not be able to do that. Now the Mozilla Support supersedes all browser functions so the only sites available are this one and my gmail. I've had a lot of trouble with this browser. It's looking no better than Google. This is really messing up my schedule. I did the reboot, the update and the restart, clear all history, upload all pictures, whew. There's really no way to talk to someone? I can't even switch to another browser. Please don't make me pay a geek.
You do not need to code to check your home page setting on the Settings page. What is the setting right now? Usually it would be "Firefox Home (default)" and not a support page. However, if you installed today's update, you might have received a one-time update info page.
