This latest update makes everything gray on the screen and you can't tell one tab from another. How do you change the color scheme? Why'd they make it so ugly? And why didn't they put this answer on the home page?

I have this problem too. The new update is a complete chock. There is no visible border between the tabs and the background of the tabs is too transparent, which makes it difficult to work with the tabs, telling one from the other etc.

I've attached a screendump for your reference.

There should perhaps be a setting for selecting the background color of the tabs. In any event, it's really not a good idea to impose surprising changes to the user interface like this. After updates, users must be able to select the GUI themselves.

After the update to version 89.0, my non-current tabs are light gray and the text is lighter gray; the result is the tab text is unreadable (see attached image). How do I fix this while retaining the system theme?

Hi s.a.barker, There's a Firefox theme on the addons site called Photon Colors, which I found helps a lot.

Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/photon-colors/ and click on Install Theme.

I have the same problem. I don't understand why they changed to a less visible color, and them, why there is not an easy way to return to old tabs colors

I am vision impaired and the latest update to 89.0 (64-bit) made Firefox almost unusable. The tabs should have outlines and be defined as separate tabs. Please revert setting to former view for those of us who are unable to use this version in its present condition.

I put off updating to Firefox 90.0 figuring that you'd screw up my tabs again and you did. This is a pain and I'm in transition to the Brave browser as you can't stop screwing with the interface.

Can you read that? The new gray tabs are harder to read on a laptop in a bright environment. The text of the tabs fades out making them MUCH less readable.

I fixed my tabs after the last update to Firefox 89.0. Now I have to do it again. Why do you feel the need to enforce these less readable tabs?

Hi mr.speedlight, From your wording, I get the impression that you think you are directly contacting developers or Mozilla employees. You are not. This is a community support forum. The people that answer questions here are users just like you, volunteering their time.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, go to the Help menu and select Submit Feedback.

It doesn't look like the person who posted the original question is going to respond, and others seem to be using this thread for there own issues, so I'm going to lock this thread.

For better help, it would be best to use https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new where volunteers can get more details about your setup.
