I recently resolvd an issue here, with eBay, or so I thought. I can't log in now.
Recently, a kind volunteer helped me resolve a technical problem I was having with eBay. I have only one start up on my computer now, which is my VPN I have disabled all my Add-ons. I exited out of Firefox, restarted my computer and went directly to ebay and had no trouble signing in or using the site. Yay! I thought it was all fixed. I still wanted to use some very important (to me) add-ons like Ghosterly, and a couple others, which I have had for approximately a year with no problem on ebay. I enable 3 of my favorite addons. I went back to ebay. And, now I can't sign in. They say the password doesn't match. I know that it is correct because I have it written down. When I tried many times, they kept making be "bot verify" When I tried to reset my password, they said I had to chat with someone. I am unable to chat because they say I might have disabled java script. I don't know where to look to see it I have done that. Having a "Senior Moment" here............
....also starting to get frustrated........... grrrrrrr..... I wanted to try to turn on one addon at a time, to see which might be the troublemaker, but never got the chance.
Any thoughts??

the issue you are likely experiencing is having an app installed in FireFox which is duplicating what FireFox is already doing for you.
if you enter the FireFox options, you will see many of the same features that your add-in had provided.
It is also possible that the app is also not as trustworthy as you are being led to believe. While it may had blocked this and that, it likely was also telling its home base the "whats and the wheres and the whens" of your visits.
So my suggestion is to not use that app with FireFox at this time.
To check out your privacy and protections, copy the url below then paste and go:
about:preferences
Incidentally, there is a very helpful app that will compliment what FireFox is doing. It is called "Privacy Badger".
I highly recommended and you will know why when you use it instead of Ghosty. :-)

Thank you again. I used Ghosterly, Privacy Badger, for a long time but still had Google tracking me, so I also found and used a google containmer app.
I also had DuckDuckGo privacy essentials and Web Archives apps along with the other two, that I must have added months ago, but forget when that was. I have never had a problem with any of them until this last week. And even then, never a problem on any other website. I now only have the ghosterly, ddg privacy essentials & google container. The ghosterly app has allowed me the freedom from all ads on youtube and every other site, for years and I was using eBay the entire time. Something is going on and thanks to you, I am sure I will find it.
I will take your suggestion and disable Ghosterly and enable Privacy Badger again, I probably don't need the DDG privacy essentials and maybe Google has given up on me by now, since it has been so long. It can't hurt to try this and see what happens. Sorry, but I did not see a url in your comment as you stated, but I am sure I can find the the preferences in my privacy and protections if I take the time to look.............

Just thought you should know, I caved in and went back to Ghosterly and continued with Privacy Badger after trying a different ad blocker from Firefox that was worthless. I can logged into ebay just fine and used the crap out of that site for an hour! Then went back to youtube and after 3 sample videos I had no ads and was tickled pink!
I just noticed that you called me mango granny instead of mango nanny, I like mangoes and my mom used to call me nanny. I am old enough to be a granny but don't want to appear that old. I wonder how many 71 year olds are messing around trying to figure this stuff out?
