Firefox never restarts after "restart"

Whenever I see the "restart required" screen (either because I entered about:restartrequired or because Firefix just pops it up) and I click the "Restart" button which promises to restore Firefox and all my tabs, Firefox never, ever restarts.

Hasn't from day one over 3 years ago.

I've waited for an hour, and nothing happens. Eventually I have to click the icon to start it manually.

Not a great bug in the scale of things, but I really don't like software that lies to me. Maybe someone could fix the message ? Or the bug ?
