I cannot print selected pages only single ones or a range of pages

I cannot print selected pages - eg. I want to print page 1 and 5. I put in 1,5 in the print selection so I can do double sided but I get an error message that I can't do it. I can only print page 1. Then I have to go back and ask to print page 5 as a separate action. I get different print selections on IE Explorer where I can put in pages 1,5 and it will print in one action so I know it's not my HP printer. This way Firefox takes too much time.
