Did you check the overflow area on the Navigation Toolbar to see whether they have moved there ?

Make sure toolbars like the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible. Open the Customize window and set what toolbars (Show/Hide Toolbars) and toolbar items to display.

  • Right-click empty toolbar area -> Customize
  • "3-bar" menu button -> Customize
  • View -> Toolbars
    *you can tap the Alt key or press the F10 key to show the hidden Menu Bar temporarily
  • check that "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • if "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize palette to the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window to the toolbar
  • if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the Restore Defaults button in the Customize palette window to restore the default toolbar set.

Can you attach a screenshot that shows the toolbar area ?

Eve, thank you for your reply to my question. However, I don't know what the hamburger/icon is and where to find it. Thanks, Steve

The 'hamburger/icon' is the "3-bar" Firefox menu button at the at the right end of the Navigation Toolbar.

I guess I haven't been clear on what I am trying to do. I would like the Extension Icons in the title bar. previous versions of Firefox They were there. For example the AdBlock icon, etc. Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve, are the icons on the main toolbar now and you want to move them to the tabs bar or menu bar -- the two bars that can appear in the title bar?

Or are the icons missing in action and nowhere to be found?

The menu bar is an optional bar. If it got turned off, you can add it back using either:

  • right-click a blank spot on the tab bar > click Menu Bar
  • tap the Alt or F10 key > View > Toolbars > Menu Bar

There's also a toolbars button on the Customize tab. See: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.

I guess I am not being clear. In the past Firefox always showed my ADD-ON Icons on the top of the Home Page. Now they are missing. Is there any I can put those icons on the top of the Home Page, so i can have access to them. Thanks Steve

Okay, so normally, add-on buttons appear on the main toolbar, which is above the currently displayed web page. Sometimes things go a bit haywire with contents of the toolbar and the URL/address bar gets huge and the icons you're looking for end up on an overflow menu. Do you see them there? Here's a diagram of the usual layout:
