Attempt to get authorization, received auth. number and letters, wouldn't allow me to print the last 3 numbers.

I gave my password on "authorization to Sync" (or close to that. Went to my email and copied the authorization number. Back to enter the number where specified. I took the code up to the final 3 digits. Wouldn't allow me to continue (much like when NumLock is not liet. Tried rentry more than once. I have checked the auth number again and find that the last digit was a letter instead of a number. Will go back thru again, but I still don't understand why I could not enter any of the last three digits. The answer is probably something easy that this old (ancient!) brain couldn't grasp.
