How to fix the window maximized, with the bottom part hidden under the taskbar?

This is what the window looks like maximized: https://imgur.com/lAteRNc.png. You can see that the find bar at the bottom is hidden under the taskbar, unlike in the fullscreen shot above.
This is on Manjaro Linux.

Are you referring to "hide" the taskbar? I do know in Windows O/S you can hide the Taskbar. Is that what your trying to do or ask about?
No, I want the window to be maximised to be flush with the taskbar, not extend to the bottom of the screen and hide part of it under the taskbar. I don't want to hide the taskbar.
I know from experiences using Windows if the taskbar isn't "hidden" it will open max flush to the taskbar and screen. For that to be happening would mean your O/S is corrupted and is unable to determine the "maximum" browser windows settings. So you need to check if anything in the O/S update is corrupted and video resolution settings to determine your "recommend" setting is set right.
There is some difference between Windows and Linux related to the title bar and whether tabs can move up into the title bar. That could be a factor, but I can't address that.
More generally:
Sometimes the settings file that stores window dimensions becomes corrupted with nonsensical values. You can rename the file and have Firefox rebuild it. Here's how:
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, on the Profile Folder row, click the "Open Directory" button. This should launch a new window listing various files and folders in your system's file browser.
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit/Quit.
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstoreOLD.json. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, you can delete it.
Start Firefox back up again and it should have default window dimensions. Do maximized windows display normally again?
That mini-reset will hide the bookmarks toolbar. You can use one of these methods to show the toolbar list and select the desired bars there:
- right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank spot on the tab bar (or the "+" button)
- (menu bar) View > Toolbars
On Windows, tap the Alt key to activate the menu bar temporarily. - in Customize mode > Toolbars button (see: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)
To turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar, click it on the list.

What desktop are you using as in Gnome 3, Xfce or even KDE ?
I know with Xfce you can do things like set the panels to never hide or autohide (until mouse cursor hover over) whether a application is maximized or not.

You never used Linux with desktops like Xfce, Gnome3, or KDE before have you?
The way things work is not quite the same as "on Windows". Linux can have much more features as for example a simple useful thing is it is very easy to just set a application windows to always be on top no matter the focus or other windows around on same monitor. On Windows you need to install a tool.

Yeah it must be an OS issue as it happens on other programs.
