What is keyboard shortcut for "Done" in New Bookmark dialog?

more options

I asked this question but it got deleted because the website never sent me a confirmation email and after some time my account got deleted.

The issue is after selecting a folder, Enter no longer works to accept "Done".

cor-el gave the right answer on Nov 2, 2018, 8:41:25 AM The Done button doesn't have an access key. What works for me is Alt+N to set focus to the Name field and then press the Enter key to close the dialog.

I guess either of these:

  • Tab Tab Enter
  • Ctrl+Enter

would be the simplest approach at that point.

(I think Ctrl+Enter is a common workaround for Enter not submitting a form when the cursor is in/on something other than a single-line text input.) (Edit: on Mac, try Command+Return, although I can't test it myself.)

Hi Christian_Bailey, on mine, the Name field has the focus when the panel appears. Enter also works in the Tags field. However if the focus is moved to some other control, Enter doesn't "submit" the form. Hmm...

That's exactly the problem. I always hit Tab Tab Space and then the first few letters of the folder I want to save under. After that, there's no easy way to confirm Done.

Ctrl+Enter is great. Glad it can be done with one keypress.

And helpful to learn that this works for some forms. Thank you!
