how do you get bookmark descriptions back, URGENT URGENT URGENT
The main point for using Firefox was the inclusion of descriptions in the bookmark.
Now there is no point in it anymore, why make a good browser terrible. Improvement are allowed but not at the expense of functionality, endless misunderstanding of this has made people move on, don't get rid of the stuff people get the software for

The Description data is still in Firefox, it just can't seen of accessed any longer.

Currently that extension does lack the ability to make used of the existing Bookmark Descriptions, but that data can be manually inserted (via copy & paste) or manually adding the information for each bookmark. And import feature will be added; progress on that enhancement can be followed here: https://github.com/emmyemi/bookmark-notes/issues
I have installed that extension and feel that it is a good replacement, once there's a way to automatically import a users existing data.
For some reason the export function looses some of the characters and the functionality, does not seem to be in the same case, no line ends, no line feeds and in dispersed with odd characters.
The best cure is to remove the Firefox update and return to previous version, get your data out then use another browser.
Hi , I suggest you make several backups in HTML and these can always be viewed by drag and drop into a open browser window.
You so far are one and only to find what would be errors that no one else has reported as of yet. So I have no answer for this issue.

Once get copies in HTML
Please Copy/Paste about:support into the Address Bar then Enter. All the way to the bottom, almost to Places Database then Click the Box Verify Integrity.
