Outlook crashes every time I open it - new installation

I am using Windows Server 2008R2 and installing Firefox causes an "app crash" every time.

The exception Illegal Instrauction An attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction. (0xc000001d) occured in the application at location 0x37150019

I have tried as a local administrator, 32-bit, 64-bit, ESR; restarted the computer; reinstalled and repaired Firefox; and deleted app data Mozilla folders each time. about:crashes doesn't give any information on crash reports.

The ESR doesn't show this app crash message, it works first time, but then just crashes subsequently, unless the AppData Local/Roaming and LocalLow Mozilla folders are deleted.

Firefox stays open after clicking on the error twice, but the browser seems to not work - i.e. a new tab can be opened but no web pages ever load (other browsers work fine and it is connected to the internet).
