Since about 1-2 weeks ago my Firefox keeps crashing regularly. Uptime varies between a couple of minutes and a couple of hours. I tried refreshing my profile, i tried turning off hardware acceleration, disabling addons, disabling flash player, apparently without success. I ran out of ideas. I like firefox but I am virtually unable to use it. Any help appreciated.

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Dear Seburo, Thanks a lot for your reply. I'm inserting the five most recent report numbers below.

bp-56753482-e5d7-440b-8ab2-734221171015 bp-bd511ff2-e471-413f-8d9e-9457b1171015 bp-a9c18923-d01a-410e-ad1e-04ac41171013 bp-4fb3ce45-b0cc-4821-94f8-1340d0171011 bp-2fc28a25-4ba1-4556-9138-282bd1171008 bp-84abb419-6d99-4fce-aec4-ce3130171008

Note1: after most of the tab crashes i do not get the option to submit a report. I have much more crashes than reports. (I do not really understand how it is decided whether to generate a report or not...)

Note2: I deinstalled my flash player for a while to test if that was the reason of the crashes. I think some of the older crashes are related to a non-existent flash player library. However this has not much to do with my current problem.

The current Firefox is set up so that if a tab crashes, it should not crash the whole browser, thus no crash report.

I see but sometimes similar Gah-tab-crashes that do not take down the whole browser do offer me to submit a report (like the 1st two instances up there).
