I recently upgraded firefox to the latest version and now links from emails or say libre office do not work and yes firefox is my default browser

please see sentance above. After an "Upgrade" (not) links from emails, libre office, or anything else just do not work. I am on windoze 7.

I use this feature a lot, so need some help. I have checked and FF is my default browser.

Can you try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away? You can restart in Firefox Safe Mode by either:

Clicking the menu button New Fx Menu , click Help Help-29 and selecting Restart with Add-ons Disabled, or; Holding the option key while starting Firefox. If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration.

And for libra office Under windows , according to the getting "Started with LibreOffice" manual, the operating system's default e-mail program is always used. This is set in Windows XP under CONTROL PANEL > INTERNET SETTINGS > PROGRAMS.

thank you for taking the time to reply.I solved it by rebooting my computer! Takes a long time for the links to come up though
