location bar drop down not working (synced)

Since short I noticed the location bar is not working properly. Dropdown is not working, autofill is not working. Basically I can only type complete addresses in there.

I tried about:config -> browser.urlbar.autoFill set to true -> no result I tried options -> privacy -> urlbar -> check history, tabs, bookmarks-> no result

the weird thing is that this also changed on my other computer which is synced via FF sync
