I'm having an odd issue with large select boxes on multiple PCs it hangs the browser. Any suggested fixes other than the obvious?

In safe mode it functions normally, but disabling all addons/extensions in regular mode does not fix the issue.

Re-installation of firefox doesn't fix it.

Refreshing firefox or recreating the firefox profile fixes it until the next computer reboot. I've tried turning off hardware acceleration and a few other small settings changes but none of that seems to have any effect.

To clarify the hang occurs when clicking on the large <select> box. Eventually it opens but the delay is very long and doesn't occur on multiple other PCs or other browsers on the PCs having the issue.
