Firefox 48.0.1 constant crash yosemite, added crash report.
I can't figure out why firefox keeps crashing. I've even tried deleting both mozilla and firefox dirs from application support, mozilla prefs from preferences. And every other mozilla or firefox related file i could find in any directory. And then start with a clean firefox. But 10 secs later it crashes. I've also tried a regular firefox reset, but nope.

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing when you open it. Please do the following to give us crash IDs that will help us understand more about the crash.
- (OS X 10.6 or previous) Click the Finder icon in the dock. Your home folder will be selected. In the right side of the window, click the Library folder to open it. Then open the "Application Support" folder, the "Firefox" folder, the "Crash Reports" folder and finally the "submitted" folder.
(OS X 10.7 or above) Click the Finder icon in the dock. On the menu bar, click the Go menu, hold down the option or alt key and select Library. A window will open containing your Library folder. Then open the "Application Support" folder, the "Firefox" folder, the "Crash Reports" folder and finally the "submitted" folder. - Open the 5 most recent files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
- Paste each ID with bp- into the reply window on the forums.

thank you, i am not a mac user myself so i'm not entirely sure but it looks like the crashes happen while there are fonts loaded from the system. do you have some non-generic fonts installed?
It should be default for the interface, but the machine is used for font related work, like quarkxpress.

did the problem start recently (with a firefox version update) or has it been going on for longer?
We're not entirely sure if firefox managed to update to 48.0.1. But it was at least running 48.0.0 this friday. A printer driver for a new brother laserprinter was installed. Nothing besides that. Then the problem started monday morning.
