Clouds are not thought to be abused as backups. Depending on the amount of data you would like to store it could take very long to upload it the web. Then, as long as you don't encrypt it, there's the privacy issue.

My advice: Get a new physical hard drive and clone your data there. There are many instructions how to do that on the web. Look for example for Clonezilla (Free) or if you are Windows user look for Acronis: True Image.

Hi

I do not think this question is about the Firefox browser, but I will do my best to help.

You will need to make use of a cloud backup service of which several exist (such as Mozy and Dropbox. Alternatively, your internet service provide may provide a backup service.

Firefox Sync is not a backup service, it is designed to help manage key Firefox data (such as bookmarks and passwords) between two copies of Firefox, for example on your desktop and on a mobile device.

When planning your backup, I recommend taking a copy of your Firefox profile which stores your bookmarks and other settings. This article will provide some help on finding your Firefox profile.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.
