Can't upload files to various sites
Recently I have become unable to upload my audio files to sites like youtube and sendspace. Files also fail to upload with email attachments. Uploads suddenly stopped working a few weeks ago. I have a Dell Inspiron with Vista Home Basic. Could a recent update on Firefox be incompatible with Vista or something like that? Like I said up until about 10 days ago everything was working fine. Would appreciate any help.
hi Lincoln, are you running "trusteer" software on your device by chance? it has been identified as a cause for many upload issues recently... see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1102907 for example.Čítať túto odpoveď v kontexte 👍 0

Thanks Philipp I appreciate your help and yes I am running trusteer. Will try to disable it and see if that's the my problem. Will post the results.
how did it go?
we had a death in the family (funeral was yesterday) so I was just getting back to this issue today actually when I saw your email (timely coincidence) ... thanks for checking back and will let you know something by days end
hello Philipp ... disabling trusteer did in fact solve my upload problem as you advised ... thanks a million!
I guess for now I will just disable trusteer when I need to upload something ... maybe at some point I will again be able upload with trusteer turned on ... or maybe not since the day I will have to abandon Vista is probably fast approaching ... are those with more up to date operating systems reporting this issue as well ?
sorry for the loss in your family & thanks for reporting back! yes, we are seeing reports on all different operating systems about this (windows vista-10, os x) unfortunately. i'm trying to raise the profile of this issue internally and hope that we can do some outreach to trusteer as well. so hopefully they can fix that as part of one of their updates...
Thanks for your condolences ... and again thanks to you and mozilla support for saving me considerable frustration in solving this. Can I contribute a few bucks towards the site's upkeep? ... didn't see a link for this or maybe I missed it.
i don't think that this is necessary at all, but if you really really wished to support mozilla with a few bucks you could do so at https://donate.mozilla.org
OK I found a mailing address for contributions and will be able to make a small donation promptly. Best wishes ... Lincoln

hi again, we have heard back from trusteer and they are deploying a fix for this issue now (that's in version 3.5.1507.104 of their program). so ideally the problem may already be solved...
Thanks Philipp, that's wonderful !
