Since a few days ago, maybe a week, Firefox is running slow. I have a few add ons. Now I try to log in to a course and cannot log in. I do run Malwarebytes every morning, and Kaspersky Labs almost every evening. I will contact my school and ask the web master about my login problem, also. But this will probably not fix the slow speed of Firefox. I check to see I have the latest version, about once per month. The Windows update service is configured to run automatically. I run W-10 on this machine. It is a Toshiba Satellite C75D-A, with AMD A6 quad core processor. Firefox is my default browser. I use yahoo most of the time for e mail and search engine purposes. The list of plug ins you show for my machine is correct. I was in Ukraine from 2 October until 15 October, as a visitor. I observed that my machine (this one) behaved very strange, while I was there. When I returned, this machine began to function more normally. Maybe it was because of the different current voltage or something. I used a voltage adapter while I was there. Firefox was also slow, then, and it took a while to connect to one site or another. I had a lot of trouble to connect to the sites of 2 banks where I have accounts, but not to another bank, where I also have an account. Sometimes I felt like my machine was not under my control, and a few times I saw the arrow (cursor) move on the screen, by itself. Like someone else controlled my computer. I reported this to the technicians at my anti-virus provider (Kaspersky Labs). They gave me a link to a program, and I sent the results to them. They ran a test and found nothing unusual. Now Firefox is slowing down again. It works, yes, but it is not as agile as it once was. Cookies are enabled in Firefox on my machine. But sometimes I use the version with a Venetian purple mask. I understand the cookies and history are not recorded or are disabled when I use this special version of Firefox. I avoid Chrome due to the invasive and spying customs of Google. I use G mail sometimes, but am migrating my e mail to accounts in other providers, for the same reason. I use IE for some sites that require it. Like the official site of Las Positas College, in Livermore, from which I graduated last year. Their site is essentially designed to work on IE. One bank I check routinely, requires me to use IE to access my account. I do not like to be tracked, so I have the no-tracking request turned on almost all the time.
