When I click on the URL bar or search bar it has a blue border. How do I get rid of that?
The blue outline around the URL and search bars when I click on them is gaudy. Is there a way to disable them? Using 40.0.2 on Win 10.

Found a theme that doesn't include the blue boxes. The cartoony look is no more.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
this is neither malware nor an addon - it's the default interface in windows 10.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
It started today when FF updated. Wasn't there yesterday.
It's not an addon or malware. Does the same in safe mode. It just started with the update. Microsoft Edge doesn't do it either. Only FF.
