How do I get rid of a start up page I do not want? I've tried the procedure you have outlined and the default doesn't work.
Something else has become my start up page and I can't delete it. I've tried the procedure outlined but the default is the thing I don't want and I can't get the firefox start up page back.

What is the the URL of that "start page"? Might help us figure out what's wrong, and determine what to recommend to fix it.

This is what is appearing on my start up page instead of the Firefox start up page. It appears as a default when I try.

Note that not all removal programs will detect all malware, so you may need to run several or all of them.
After removal you may need to reset your home page, search etc., which you can do by running the add-on SearchReset.
