Sometimes some add ons or plugins are turned off during a Firefox update. It is easy to go in and re-enable them from the add ons page in Firefox.

Thanks for your reply. I understand that add-ons may disable themselves inadvertently. The add-on was blocked, not disabled. There is a difference, isn't it? How is it possible to unblock without performing a refresh of Firefox?

 If the words mean the same, could it be that the add-on needs to be uninstalled & reinstalled & how would I go about doing that?

Is there a parent.lock file in the profile folder or a user.js file that might be blocking the plugin?

Here is a screenshot of the profile folder. I see there is a parent.lock file. What do I need to do with the file?

Yep, in your provided picture there was a parent.lock file. If you delete this and restart Firefox, is the plugin still blocked?

My GT&V plug in is blocked suddenly on FF and IE, in the middle of using it!

I saw there had been a Google update at that time.

I cannot get FF to tell me it is blocking it either, so I can allow it, which I could do on my room mate's computer Also W7pro 64 bit, but a little newer than mine.

How do I get FF to display that something is blocked. Using IE right now, because FF installs all screwed up each time now. Something in my cookies?

The Plugin has been blocked a couple times in the past. I did not know this until I did a refresh of Firefox. It is unblocked now. This is happening, I suppose when I make or received phone calls in Google (G-mail & Hangouts). My questions are these: 1) Why does this happen? 2) How might I prevent this from happening again? 3) Is there a simple way to check to see if the Plugin is blocked? If you need more info from me, I will surely do my best to answer you to the best of my ability.
