Firefox crashes
everything has been working fine for years... this new comp is almost a year old (iMac, OS X 10.9.5). It suddenly crashed tonight... then crashed on start-up multiple times. I tried a clean install of a new download... same prob. I tried a clean instal of an older version. same prob. I tried safe mode... and it seems to work until I try to use it... then nothing... in each case the Force Quit App menu eventually showed "not responding"... I still waited in case it needed more time... but nothing ever helped.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
thank you... I had tried safe mode... and while I was waiting I left the hung-up Firefox trying to start for almost an hour and it fixed itself. I had tried 15-20 minutes thinking that was enough... but all is fine now. thank you.
