How are you enabling that "editable content" feature?

Via a Bookmarklet? That seems to work better than entering the Javascript code directly into the URL bar via copy'n'paste. The "issue" seems to be with the "focus" being lost on the page that is open in Firefox when using the URL bar for inputting that code. The Bookmarklet does work for me.

If you can see the cursor flashing in the "editable" page, it should work - but without the cursor showing it seems that all that works is Delete whatever is highlighted.

Thank you for your reply! Sorry, My Chinese is better than my English. I mean that the text like this inputting in this "multiline edit control", when I select some words, they should be display in highlight, but in my firefox the text will be deleted.

I searched all the reference options, I have not solve the issue. The pic is Opera, therefor I installed the Opera.

The text was really deleted. They are not shown when I changed the focus.

I am having the same problem, too. If you are a Chinese, I guess that you are using the IBus Input Method. Now, what I discover is this: When you are using IBus for Pinyin mode, there may be some incompatibilities in Firefox. Then, when you try to select some text, it will be just deleted. The solution is this: You can try to switch it back to English mode ( an "EN" will appear instead of the "拼“).
