If I disconnect the PC that I first synced Firefox with, do my bookmarks still get saved and can I resync them to a different PC?

I created a Firefox account to sync my work PC bookmarks. Today's my last day at work so I will be disconnecting my account from my work PC, but I want these bookmarks on my home PC. I'd like to know what happens when I disconnect my Firefox account from my work PC. Can I still add my account to my home PC and will my bookmarks get synced? Or does the original PC (my work PC) need to be connected for that to happen?
