Firefox for iOS Community Forum

I'm signed into Firefox on both my iPhone and my PC desktop, and I can see that both devices are listed under my account. I want to send all of my tabs from my iPhone to my desktop at once. When I sync, nothing happens. I can't find a way to send the tabs other than one at a time. This was straightforward and easy when I had Firefox for Android, but I have yet to find a way to do it with iOS.

I updated ios 18.5 on my Apple iphone 16e and ipad 10 Pro last night. Now I cant get firefox on either of them. Evcery time I think I've opened Firefox, the Google search engine comes in instead and demands a google password. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The past week or so, I’ve noticed that sharing a link from any iOS app via the Share Sheet no longer works. If I send the link to Firefox iOS first and use the Send To Device feature there, it gets sent as expected.

I’ve tried restarting all devices, signing out and logging back in on all devices, uninstalling FF on iOS, etc, but nothing has helped. Is this a known issue?

My main pc is not working anymore. I opened up an old one but I have the bookmark from last year on it even after syncing. I wanted to retrieve my bookmarks from the pc that crashed. I went to my firefox app but now even there the old bookmarks are sync.

How can I retrieve a previous syncronisation from IOS app? On the PC i can restore a old version but the one that I have on my PC are from a year ago. Can I retrieve a more recent sync or back up from the IOS app?

I had a ton of tabs that I have left on my phone which I was planning on viewing later. But I think after an update or some other reason, they've all dissapeared. They're not in the inactive tab group, they're completely gone.

Is there any way of getting them back? I feel as if they're still on my phone as using Firefox at that time did slow down my phone as a result and after they vanished it's still as slow with three tabs on there.

I use it a lot, and just found out it just works now from the actual Firefox iOS app. From linkedin or imdb or any other app, the Send to Device does not work anymore. I even tried to disconnect all accounts now but it still doesn't work, it should be a bug on Firefox iOS component that appears on other apps' Share function.

PLEASE HELP!! I got a new iPad but when I set everything up, the hundreds of open tabs I have open on my old iPad did not transfer to my new iPad. How can I transfer currently open tabs? My old iPad is about to die & I’m very worried I’ll loose VERY important medical & research info that’s taken years to find. My Safari already had a crash in the middle of the night & unfortunately lost majority of the same a couple days ago, so can’t bare the thought of it happening on this browser too.

I’m in the middle of dealing with a serious chronic illness that recently had a turn for the worst, so my ability to comprehend is at a minimum & I’m very weak, the the simplest & most efficient way to do this would be a huge help. If I have to copy each link at a time, that could take months that I don’t have. I’d be so grateful for anything you can do to make this possible & as easy as possible.

Please write detailed instructions that are clearly written for someone that’s not remotely tech savvy & let me know if you need any further info. Appreciate your time & any xtra effort! Look forward to hearing back from someone soon, hopefully with good news.

I used sync to load bookmarks and passwords on my iPad from my Mac Firefox installation. I then turned off sync on both devices, but the iPad keeps notifying me that it has connected to sync. I logged into my Mozilla account on both the Mac and the iPad, went to connected services, and clicked sign out next to the device name. This just loops me back to an account signin page, and when I work my way back to connected services it still show the device as connected. Also, the connection is showing “Firefox 137, macOS 10.15” for a Mac Mini running Sequoia. There have been other problems with switching to Firefox on my iPhone and iPad, too, with bookmarks (destinations for bookmarks don’t match up, so they are hard to access), and with passwords (on an iPad running iPadOS 17, I needed to shut off use of Apple passwords and use Firefox saved passwords but could find no way to do it). I know that Apple has restricted Mozilla’s ability to program Firefox for iOS, but I’m wondering if it’s wise to offer a version so crippled—compared to versions for not only macOS, Linux, and (I assume)Windows—that many of Firefox’s good features are compromised.

I bought a second MacBook. I am clearly logged in to Firefox on both laptops and my iPhone. I can share tabs between all three. I can access history between all three. However, Bookmarks on MacBook #2 are not updating with what I add to MB #1 or my phone. MacBook #2 is my business laptop, and the more important of the two. When I first got it, Bookmarks synced, but somehow stopped.

AND! Mozilla's instructions to pair/sync are inaccurate. There is no "Sync and save data" to tap on in iOS, and no matter where I look in iOS Firefox Settings, I see no way to scan the QR code. None of the Help pages I've seen have different or better info.
