Google appears to be taking over control of my firefox page. When I open Firefox, Google search and other functions appear on screen and take over. Also, most of my saved bookmarks have disappeared .This probably happened when I got tech help to deal with problems accessing my MS and Google accounts. I have always used the Google search engine but it only when I clicked on the search bar. Now it seems to have taken over and I seem only to be ableto access sites using Google Can I restore lost bookmarks so I can go direct to internet sites?

The main screen (desktop) there were 4 rows of bookmarks connecting me (user) with the websites that are frequently connected. Recently after restarting the desktop computer, those shortcut bookmarks no longer display. Plus I'm unable to connect to the record of bookmarks previously saved using the star icon. (I hope this is a descriptive explanation to elicit assistance in this matter) [edited email from public support forum]

I have firefox running on my mac desktop, macbook and iphone. Starting yesterday the firefox password manager has stopped working on my desktop - it won't make any suggestions for passwords on web pages. I've been reduced to going to about:prefererences, manage passwords and manually searching for my password. It still works on my macbook and iphone. Any suggestions as to how to debug this?

Hello Firefox helpers!

I save my login details for various websites in Firefox version 144.0.2. Normally, I navigate to the login area of a website, and Firefox suggests the right username and password, and I just have to select the correct username.

For the past few days, I have had to enter my username and password manually to log in. The functionality for saving usernames and passwords is no longer working correctly.

In the settings dialogue some check boxes are greyed out. See attached screenshot.

What is wrong with my firefox?

When I logged in this morning my bookmarks toolbar was gone, along with the favorite start. I have googled and followed support articles and the only thing I was able to do is get the menu bar to show along with the the bookmark menu but customizing the toolbar.

At the top of my settings it says: Information: Your browser is being managed by your organization.

What does this mean? It's my personal laptop, I bought it myself and I don't work for any organization.

I am facing a strange issue with web browsers on my HP system after a recent Windows update. No matter which browser I use Chrome, Firefox, or even Edge webpages take much longer to load than usual. The connection itself is stable because downloads and streaming work without any problem, but normal browsing feels unusually slow.

I have already cleared the cache, disabled extensions, reset the DNS settings, and restarted the router. The issue still appears across all browsers. This started immediately after the last Windows update, so I am unsure whether this is a compatibility issue, a driver problem, or something in the network configuration.

If anyone has seen this behavior before or knows what additional steps I should check, I would really appreciate your guidance.

I'm no longer able to access my old computer, but I do have access to the hard drive. Is there a file that I can transfer to the new computer to sync all my previously saved passwords? I did not have a Mozilla account back then.

Hello, I have just installed Firefox version 144.0.2 on a new computer. I have access to all of the Firefox files and data on the original computer, but I am not able to run Firefox on that computer. Therefore, I am not able to create an export file from the original installation. Is it possible for me to import all of the original Firefox data into the new installation? The Bookmark Toolbar is blank. I have the setting to add the toolbar to all windows ("Always Show") and the toolbar is populated with entries. There is space below the URL where is toolbar would normally be displayed but it's blank.

Hello, I reset my PC yesterday.

I didn't know my Firefox password anymore and clicked "Forgot password."

Then I created a new one.

Now my saved online pages and everything else are gone. So synchronization isn't working.

I have an account recovery key.

Will that work? And how?

Please help me.

Everytime i search something online (e.g. in reddit) firefox translates the post in german. Even though i have translate english cleary turned off.

Do i need to change my browser or am i missing something?
