Mein Standard-Browser ist seit ewigen Zeiten Firefox Durch den baldigen Wegfall von Skype wollte ich Jitsi nutzen. Das funktioniert bis auf die Funktion Bildschirm teilen. Hier versagt der Firefox, während alle anderen Bowser es anstandslos machen. Wo ist hier das Problem? Wie lässt es sich lösen? Ist es nur eine Frage der Einstellung von Datenschutz und Sicherheit? This morning I went to check my email on gmail, and google asked me to sign in again. Easy, I thought. I entered my account, and then google asked for my passkey. Until this morning this meant that on my mac it would ask me to place my finger on the right key on the keyboard. This morning it just froze firefox indefinitely. I then tried on Safari, and it worked as expected. I checked the version of firefox: it's 136.0.1. Obviously something changed (i.e. broke!) with the new version. Has anybody else experienced this? Any suggested fixes?

Hello, Thanks in advance for your help. I am having trouble logging into "trusted" web sites with Firefox and every update seems to add to my problem. By "trusted" web sites I mean sites like Charles Schwab, Spectrum and iCloud as well as my city's water department and my local hospital's portal. It doesn't matter whether I use "normal" Firefox or its privacy mode or safe mode-the problem persists. I am running Firefox version 134.0.2 but the problem goes back several months. I have Windows 10 and use Malwarebytes Browser Guard. The only other add on I use is Print Friendly & PDF. It doesn't matter whether these addons are running or not. The problem seems to involve either a loop, blank fields or very odd error messages. Some examples are below:

iCloud allows me to get to the point where it asks me to supply the 6 digit verification code. I enter the code and the site loads. Approximately 2 seconds later, before I can navigate to anything in iCloud, I am taken back to the log in screen to start over. The loops repeat as often as I want to try. Clearing cache and history does nothing. Since there is nothing abnormal (no error message or blank fields) I have not included a screen shot.

Spectrum allows me to enter my credentials waits a while and then gives me an odd error message about Feature Unavailable and suggests that I try logging in from home. I might add that all of these problems occur while I AM at home. Screen shot attached.

Charles Schwab allows me to get to the log in screen but the screen is unusable. There is a message that the session has timed out and I need to log in. The log in sections of the screen are blank which leads me to believe that the page is not loading all the way but that is a guess. Screen shot is attached.

I can log into all these pages with Edge (which I dislike using) with no problems at all.

I have Firefox set to automatically delete cookies and site data when closed. Privacy is set to Standard.

I would really appreciate any help that you can give me. Please note that the screen shots are BMP files that I had to rename to GIF files to get them to upload.

Several we page won't load saying the page is not secure . Even when I change site blocking to standard setting page still won't load. Ms Edge load all the web site that this browser does not load.

There are site links that won't open or work in Foxfire but will in Chrome, using Windows 10

Sometimes the site will give me an error sometimes they don't. One recent try said "captcha failed" but there was no visible captcha to act on.

This seems to only happen on a "submit" link.

Are there any settings in Firefox that would fix this? I prefer using Firefox over Chrome.

I'm get an Access Denied for a web-site I have frequently accessed. Only Firefox on my laptop has this issue. Edge and Chrome are able to access the web site. Firefox gives me the following error:

You don't have permission to access "http://www.nfm.com/" on this server.

I have cleared my cache and data and cookies and nothing works. Able to access it from my phone's firefox browser.

Hi, Some official/formal Websites refuse to accept my Firefox as an acceptable browser. I am using Firefox browser Ver. 136.0.2 (64-bit). According to you (in the browser) and to internet information it is the latest/the current version. An example of such a refusal from a website is from the DB/Deutsche Bahn official website, dated 24-03-2025: See uploaded image. As with other websites, they recommend other browsers or "the current version" of Firefox (even though I already have it installed). I then switch to Chrome and continue working without further problems. I would like to use Firefox though, but apparently cannot. I need advice. What am I doing wrong? Why is my current version of Firefox described as outdated? Thank you.

I have a website, https://zoroto.vip/, and I mostly use Firefox for browsing. Today, while randomly checking my site and reloading it as I usually do to ensure everything is working fine, I encountered a serious issue.

The site stopped loading on Firefox, and I got an error message something like "Server not found" or "Site not working." My first thought was that there might be a hosting issue, so I contacted my hosting provider, but they confirmed that everything is fine on their end.

To further investigate, I opened my site on Google Chrome and other browsers, and it loaded perfectly fine without any issues. This problem seems to be only happening in Firefox.

I followed the steps mentioned there, but unfortunately, none of them solved my issue. I also tried clearing the cache, disabling add-ons, and even testing in a private window, but the problem persists.

I have attached a screenshot of the error message I am getting. Please check and let me know if anyone has faced this issue before or if there's a possible fix for it.

For a couple of days now the back/forward site dialogue at the bottom of the search overview disappeared in Firefox, but not in other browsers like Chrome (where the attached pic has been cut out). I've got no idea, why this happend and I can't find any solution for this.

Firefox is not allowing me to login to Reddit.com. Nor can I create a new account with Reddit.com with Firefox.

I can login fine with Microsoft Edge. I don't want to use Microsoft Edge.

I can login fine with Chrome. I don't want to use Chrome.

I used to have an occasional sound problem with FF, usually felt when YT clips could not be heard any more. I mean to remember that it could be fixed (until next time) by restarting the file explorer somewhere in Task Manager - not a convincing solution but one I could live with.

Today, there's a new situation. Again, trigger was the missing YT sound in FF - not in fx Edge, and that the Task Manager trick didn't work (or maybe I restarted the file manager in the wrong tab?). Looking for a solution, I happened to see that the YT mute function in the FF tabs seems to be gone. However, other sounds are affected likewise. Also, I can't see them in Edge either. After various restarts (or maybe something else I did, instigated by the various instructions I found?), the sound is back.

However, while continuing to pursue possible solutions, I also happened to find that my browser is being 'administered by my organisation' - what ever that means (see two annexes). Who did that? I would say, this is not something I did, I would prefer to see it gone. But how? Will the other browsers (which I keep as a spare, and that I'm hardly familiar with) be likewise affected?

This is an equation with too many unknowns for my limited knowledge, are such effects known? Would there be an approved way-out for it?

Hello, when browsing gallery sites, well, i actually only have one in mind (NSFW https://hitomi.la), each time i move to the next picture previous, picture disappears then there is site background, but only for a moment, then the next picture appears, thus creating flickering effect. Its different from slow loading. It only happens on next unloaded picture, meaning, that if i move back and forth between already loaded pictures then everything is fine. Other browsers, Edge and Chrome, doesn't have that problem, they load pictures seamlessly.

I was wondering if i can do something in about:config, but i have no idea what to change. I also tried disabling hardware acceleration, but it made it even worse.

Wasted a lot of my time trying to figure out California DMV registration renewal in firefox. Would not complete transaction. Forced to use chrome instead. So, why should I continue firefox if I'm being forced to use chrome?

Is anyone else having issues with some pages refusing to load over the last few days. My Gmail account and my Bank of America page became intermittent over the last few days and now simply refuse to load. Both readily load on my Android phone and also load on the computer in question with Microsoft Edge. Has there been an update I missed or any other issue with such pages suddenly becoming incompatible with Firefox?

Two financial websites I normally look at with firefox suddenly have no images anymore. I think it's the last Firefox update that caused it. Both websites look okay with Chrome.

Can't log in to spectrum.net. I called Spectrum. They had me clear cache. I also Closed out of Firefox and logged back in. Still couldn't log into Spectrum. Tried to log in using Google Chrome and was successful. Why can't I log in using Firefox, my default browser?
