Thank you for your help!

In addition, answering these questions might help us better understand the issue:

  • When you return to the computer is there an error that Firefox has crashed or other message?
  • What game is it that you are playing?

More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.

Cheers, Patrick

You also seem to have been infected by Conduit software:

You can check your installed extensions:

You can check in "Windows Control Panel > Programs" for recently installed programs to see if anything from Conduit or any other suspicious software shows up.

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
