In older Firefox versions (2009 etc.) I used to make in "about:config" a new entry, namely "browser.cache.disk.parent_directory". And after a double-click, type: "Q:\W7-FireFox\Temporary Internet Files\" (my example). In this case C:\ is my SSD with W7 64bit, version UK. Q:\ is the HDD. This method appears to be no longer functional. I want to diminish the write actions on my SSD. The same questions applies to W8 and W8Pro. Both English versions.
