When I load firefox the logo and search box appear on the right side instead of the center and the right side of the page does not appear. How can I correct this?

The screen appears to be too wide for the computer screen. The Firefox logo and search box appear on the right hand side of the screen instead of the center and the right side of the page does not appear. There is no way to scroll over to the right or read information on the right side of the page. If I widen the screen using the cursor the problem remains.
