124.0b1 hangs at launch and blocks everything

Just installed the new version 124.0b1 and it hangs at launch. I have a couple of email accounts that are now not anymore active but I keep them in Thunderbir because I can use the emails that were downloaded. Before the 124.0b1, I just clicked on "cancel" and it was moving on. Now it blocks: I can't close the window, can't do anything in other windows, the whole Thunderbird is completely frozen. Restarting it didn't help. Restarting the MAC, didn't help either. Urgently need a solution, 'cause all work is there ! Thanks Lucas

After some more tests, it seems that I can't interact with the Thunderbird windows with the mouse. I can use the menus to perform some sort of operation, but the mouse is disabled

I've had these precise mouse symptoms when using daily on Mac. But not consistently ... it only happens for me when some other app grabs focus during Thunderbird startup.

Thanks ! Unfortunately, also in troubleshoot mode Thunderbird is blocked. There is another window, where Google asks for a verification of the account: it seems what you described as another app grabbing the focus. Thing is that until this morning, with the v.123.xx I could close the new window and everything proceeded in Thunderbird. Now I can't interact with the new window, hence it blocks Thunderbird. It seems the case of not being able to interact with the window, with the mouse.
