Every other browser is fine. Brave, Chrome, Edge, Opera.

But Firefox - zilch, nothing, blank screen. And when it did load Facebook, 99% of the times no photos showed and there was a text message in the corner of the photo holding area saying things like "may be an image of a boat" or it might say "may be an image of bridge"... etc...

Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Still not solved - but....

If I start Incognito mode and sign into Facebook, it works...

That sounds as though the problem is related to cookies and site data. If removing them doesn't help (you can use "Manage data" on the Privacy page of Settings or the padlock icon in the url bar when FB is loaded), try right-clicking a FB entry in history and selecting "Forget About This Site". After doing that, you will have to log in to FB again.
